Low key but genuinely interesting collection, showing life in the local community through the ages. Nice to see a museum focused on its surroundings rather than supposedly more 'exotic' places.

The former Palace of the Bishops of St David's located on the old A40 in Abergwili. Free admission and a very good and very popular cafe on the same site. Interesting collections of Carmarthenshire material. Lovely gardens and park. The building is old and the weather has not been kind to it.

Much improved over the years with some amazing exhibits through the various centuries. It is free to enter, which is also nice and with the addition of a cafe/restaurant it makes a nice change. Take a walk through the park too.

Part of one of the volunteer groups there - 'Stitch in Time'. We support the museum by making textiles and artefacts for use in exhibitions and by visitors and schools. Had a great time.....as usual!
